Continually Amazed and Reminded...

Sarala is a miracle. I almost tear up...even at this point...because she's been through so much and has come so far. She'll be two in a little over a month. I love and am thankful for the opportunity I've had to watch her grow and develop everyday...all the time learning new things. This summer has truly been amazing. Another blog is what got me thinking about Sarala. Her start in life was very bleak. She had a grade 3 bleed with hydrocephalus. She also was premature with a birth-weight of 2 lbs 5 ounces. She would've fit in my hand.

There is another family out there that needs prayer. There are two little newborn girls that need prayer. The blog that I'm referring to is that of Wade Joye. Wade is the worship pastor for Elevation Church. Ferris Joy is his wife and she also has updates on their progress. Their family has recently had twins that were 27 weeks...premature...one was 2 lbs 5 ounces and the other was 1 lb 14 ounces. One of them had a grade 4 bleed and they are both currently in the NICU. I ask that those of you who read this join me in praying for this family and for these beautiful little girls. God can heal them. He healed Sarala and I'm forever thankful of this. You can learn about their history as you go back through their posts in his blog and his wife's blog.

Matthew 8:5-13
As Jesus entered the village of Capernaum, a Roman captain came up in a panic and said, "Master, my servant is sick. He can't walk. He's in terrible pain."

Jesus said, "I'll come and heal him."

"Oh, no," said the captain. "I don't want to put you to all that trouble. Just give the order and my servant will be fine. I'm a man who takes orders and gives orders. I tell one soldier, 'Go,' and he goes; to another, 'Come,' and he comes; to my slave, 'Do this,' and he does it."

Taken aback, Jesus said, "I've yet to come across this kind of simple trust in Israel, the very people who are supposed to know all about God and how he works. This man is the vanguard of many outsiders who will soon be coming from all directions—streaming in from the east, pouring in from the west, sitting down at God's kingdom banquet alongside Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. Then those who grew up 'in the faith' but had no faith will find themselves out in the cold, outsiders to grace and wondering what happened."

Then Jesus turned to the captain and said, "Go. What you believed could happen has happened." At that moment his servant became well.
